ABOUT
Hales Trail Community Garden is a community of gardeners, working together in an atmosphere of mutual respect and friendliness so that each gardener can be successful year after year. The garden is located at 245 Hales Trails, owned by the City of Port Washington and managed by the Parks & Recreation Department. The seasonal rental fee of $40 Residents/$50 Non-Residents includes (1) plot, use of water, hoses, and hand tools. Each registered gardener is limited to a maximum of (2) plots.

RULES
-Registration with the Community Garden implies that the gardener has read and agrees to all 2025 Hales Trails Community Garden Rules.

NEW: ALL MEMBERS MUST ATTEND A TOOL AND SAFETY ORIENTATION PRIOR TO THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON. PLEASE SELECT A DATE UPON REGISTRATION.

PRIORITY REGISTRATION - Returning 2024 Gardeners ONLY
- 2/17/25 at 8:00 AM thru 2/27/25 at Noon
--All returning gardeners are eligible to reclaim their plot(s) during this time.
-Online or In-Person registration only.
-Any plot not reclaimed by 12:00 pm on 2/27 will be deemed “unclaimed” and the plot will be made available:
(1st) starting 3/3 to returning/registered gardeners
(2nd) starting 3/10 to the general public during the GENERAL Registration which opens at 8:00 am.
-Starting 3/3, and not before, returning gardeners are permitted to transfer to another plot(s). Use the 2025 Garden Map to select from open/unclaimed plots and contact the Rec Dept with your request to receive a plot transfer confirmation. Plot transfer requests are accepted via email, phone, or in-person. Requests are processed first come first served.

GENERAL REGISTRATION - Open to General Public
- Opens 8:00 am on 3/10/25
1- Plot-Selection - Use the 2025 Garden Map to view any open/unclaimed plots.
2- Plot-Selection-Confirmation - Contact the Rec Dept to verify that the plot you want is still available. Selections are processed first-come/first serve and can be made by email, phone or in-person. You need to receive confirmation BEFORE REGISTERING.
3 - GENERAL Registration - After your plot is available, you have 1 business day to complete GENERAL registration after which time the plot will be re-opened and made available to other gardeners. Online or in-person registration only.
