Teen heartthrob Conrad Birdie has been drafted, so he chooses
All-American girl Kim MacAfee for a very public farewell kiss. Featuring
a tuneful high-energy score, plenty of great parts for teens, and a
hilarious script, BIRDIE continues to thrill audiences around the world. Hit songs include “Put on a Happy Face,” “One Last Kiss,” “One Boy,” “A Lot of Livin’ to Do,” “Kids!” and “Rosie.”
Does your student enjoy performing? Then Port Youth Theatre is thrilled to announce a wonderful opportunity for them.We have an exciting theater program for students in grades K - 12. Students are exposed to all elements of musical theater including set construction, costuming, make-up and choreography that will culminate in a fantastic performance. The practices and the performances are located at the Port Washington High School Auditorium.
Students practice 2-3 times a week from 5:00-6:30 p.m. and learn their roles for a musical performance on the PWHS stage at the end of approximately two months of rehearsals.
Students must register for the class before any auditions are held. Roles are cast from within the registered students. Registration fee is $100 per Port Washington/Saukville student and $110 for Non-PWSSD students. Students may begin to register for the 2018 program starting November 13, 2017.
Your registration fee includes the student script (a wonderful keepsake), and two vouchers per student to attend our performance.
AUDITIONS: Students must be registered prior to auditions. Audition information will be in our Port Youth Theatre packet. Packets will be available in hard copy form only to pick up at the Parks & Rec Office in the beginning of February (The date will be emailed to all registrants). Students may be required to be at both Audition dates if in higher grade level.

REHEARSALS: Younger grade levels will only be required to attend rehearsals from 5:00-6:00 p.m. a few times per week. Students that are in older grade levels & lead parts will be required to attend rehearsals 3-4 days per week and from 5:00-6:30 p.m. All rehearsal times will be clearly relayed by the Theatre Director in the Port Youth Theatre packet and at Auditions.

TICKETS: Advanced tickets can be purchased at the Rec Office or Sentry Food
Store in Port Washington. No credit card payments will be accepted at the door or at Sentry.
